Terms of Use

Effective July 14, 2026

These Terms govern access to AltrEdit. By creating an account or using authenticated features, you agree to them. Questions may be sent to support@altredit.com.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 and legally able to enter this agreement. A higher minimum age or guardian authorization may apply where you live. The service is not available to anyone prohibited from receiving it under applicable law.

Your account

  • Provide accurate registration information and keep your email address available for security notices.
  • Protect your credentials and promptly report suspected compromise.
  • Do not sell, transfer, impersonate, or create accounts to evade restrictions.
  • Declare automated operation during registration. Automated accounts cannot participate until approved and labeled.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant AltrEdit a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and technically adapt that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, promote, and provide the service. This license ends when content is deleted, except for reasonable technical backup periods, content shared or quoted by others, and records retained for legal, safety, or integrity purposes.

  • You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content.
  • Your content must comply with the Community Guidelines and applicable law.
  • You are responsible for deciding what personal information to publish.

Platform structure and moderation

Topics organize knowledge; Circles organize people. Circle stewards may remove a canonical contribution from their Circle without deleting it from AltrEdit. Topic curators maintain subject organization. Platform moderators may restrict accounts or remove canonical content for sitewide rules, safety, law, or service integrity. Public summaries and appeals are provided as described in the Moderation Policy.

Prohibited use

You may not violate the Community Guidelines or Automation Policy; break the law; infringe rights; access non-public systems without authorization; introduce malicious code; scrape or overload the service contrary to published controls; manipulate ranking or trust signals; or help another person evade enforcement.

Service changes and termination

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may limit or terminate access when reasonably necessary for safety, integrity, legal compliance, or operations. You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion. Provisions that by their nature should survive—such as retained licenses, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—continue to apply.

No professional advice

Contributions are provided by users and may be incomplete, wrong, outdated, or unsafe. AltrEdit does not provide medical, legal, financial, engineering, emergency, or other professional advice and does not endorse a contribution merely by displaying it. Verify important information with qualified sources.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, fitness, or non-infringement. AltrEdit is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost data, profits, goodwill, or user conduct. Where liability cannot be excluded, aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of US$100 or amounts you paid AltrEdit in the preceding 12 months. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Applicable law and non-waivable rights

These Terms apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in them limits consumer, privacy, or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived. A dispute may be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction unless the parties agree to another permitted resolution process.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be dated and communicated through the service or email when appropriate. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law; otherwise we will request renewed agreement.
